I have no idea why this worked, but it did. I was trying to access internet on my Dell E Win 7 via a Netgear repeater. I could connect to the repeater, but it said no internet access, while at the same time my other computer Mac could access the internet via that same repeater.

I was trying yet another thing last night and came across a message in a log that my version of Intel ProSet Wireless was not compatible with the version of the driver I was using.

Apparently the utility that updated my drivers did not also update ProSet. I suspect that windows may use some API delivered in Proset as part of their interface to the wireless function. Yea, how 'bout an apology McAfee and maybe a credit?! I don't have any McAfee software's on my system thus don't know if it is relevant for me. Thursday, March 28, PM. I couldn't connect either. Also, I had previously uninstalled McAfee, and that does not solve the problem. Also tried installing MVT without an internet connection and that did not work. In case the problem was a virus, I ran Hitman Pro , my go to cleaner.
