Golfsmith deluxe scoreline regrooving tool

He worked on the Honma putter that I posted here somewhere. All the cool kids follow me on twitter: GolfspyDave. Ventus VeloCore Blue S. All with different grips, weights, and lengths. I bought one from a guy in Wisconsin a few years back. I use it occasionally, but I mainly just use a tee to scrape the dirt out. The problem was that it was supposed to fit inside of a modified golf grip, but it didn't stay put. If that part worked better, I would be more inclined to keep it handy and use it often.

Follow me on Twitter: MattSaternus. I've got the green one and it works alright. If you have grooves that are already too small they just will not work. They would try to remove metal and the tool just is not sharp enough. For the longest time, I used a piece of a hacksaw blade. Worked fine.

I didn't do it on my grooves though. Mine were fine. I would freshen his grooves once every month or two.. I have used a really short bristled brush to clean the grooves of my irons out, but I will never regroove a club.

I've used the Izzo Groove Medic for a couple years now but only on the wedges. I change my wedges out every year but I'll practice with my old ones and the Medic really does keep the grooves clean and sharp. I'm happy with the product and will continue to use it. Driver: Ping G Putter: Odyssey 3T. Ball: Taylormade TP5 X. I bought one as I thought it the best way to clean the dirt out fairly easy on the 7-pw clubs the ones I hit down on more where I take mohawk size divots.

I like it for that but regrooving that's a whole other animal. You can knock some burs off but truly regrooving needs to be done on a machine in my opinion! I read reviews, and bought Mizuno MP R 12 52 and 58 with kbs shafts.

Reviews said one of the Most Accurate tested Hit a 58 to a foot from pin from a deep sand bunker,10 days ago, then on Saturday hit the same 58 70m and hit the Pin.. Buy 1 or 2 of them.. Cheere, Roger. NewGrip Dont hesitate to buy one! As long as you don't plan on selling them nor play in any events, do what you want. Might try some spinner shafts first though.

SM4's don't have V-grooves. They are basically a U-groove, but the top edge is rounded off per current rules. To sharpen the groove you need to widen it to remove the rounded portion.

The plating will be removed in the process so the wedges will rust afterwards. Might be best to just live with the spin or sell the clubs and buy some older style wedges. Good luck. Just need to go slow and let the tool do the work. One slip out of the groove and you could be left with a nice scratch on the face.

Ping G Max Since the groove rule changed you can expect, at some juncture, groove tools for old style grooves will no longer exist. Additionally, all average golfers will have to find a way to cope with the new "U" grooves with slightly rounded edges, and or much closer aligned grooves to improve spin. Why not just take the time to learn how to use the new grooves, or go buy enough old style square groove wedges to last a lifetime. By the way, Golfsmith use to carry a groove tool that had a circular end with multiple groove sharpener edges.

I have one. I, on the other hand, love my wedges with actual old fashion "V" grooves, and use the above tool to keep them clean. You are commenting using your Google account.

However, after a while I got the hang of it. I'm not so sure how much groove I created versus just cleaning out the current grooves.

I did make some progress with my wedges and saw a difference in my shot making afterwards. Still wish there was a place I could send them to get the job done professionally.
