No didn't loose at thing because I back up. I didn't mention it because it should be assumed. You assume that windows will install on all machines with a clean install. Not true. Windows needs the win7 key to convert to a win10 key, so by using "skip this step" on the win10 installation will not allow successful activation I would go further to say that my Windows 7 installation was about years old and needed to be blown away anyway.

We need useful thing here. My sons comp is a Windows 7 ultimate with the latest avast and has had failed attempts so far.
